ClearStructure Financial Technology (formerly Atlantic Information Services) was founded in 1999 in Danbury, Connecticut by a team of IT professionals at Atlantic Asset Management (AAM). While at AAM this group developed a portfolio management system, called Sentry, to assist AAM in the management and operational tasks in managing over $5 billion in fixed income and structured finance accounts. After receiving significant interest from the marketplace, the group officially separated from AAM and established a new technology firm called Atlantic Information Services to continue the development and marketing of Sentry.

Over the next five years ClearStructure was focused primarily on the structured finance space and experienced significant growth in the CDO/CLO area. By ensuring the system keep up with the ever-changing market and provided investment managers unmatched functionality, ClearStructure established itself as one of the top players in structured finance technology. In 2005, recognizing the paradigm shift occurring in technology from client-server to web-based technology, ClearStructure rewrote the Sentry application from scratch focusing on providing a front-to-back office portfolio management system with all of the functionality of the legacy Sentry system but capitalizing on the technological advantages of the web.

After several years of growth in the US in both structured finance and general portfolio management, ClearStructure established a presence in Europe. In 2006 ClearStructure opened an office in the London financial district to better serve ClearStructure’s rapidly growing European client base. Today with a foundation of top EMEA-based financial institutions as clients, ClearStructure continues to expand in this region.

In 2009 ClearStructure released its first product built specifically for the sell-side. Utilizing over 10 years supporting all aspects of the bank loan asset class, ClearStructure launched Sentry LT for bank loan trading desks and broker dealers. As a web-based loan trading platform, Sentry LT is built using the latest technology and continues the long ClearStructure tradition of delivering next generation applications to the financial industry.

Today ClearStructure has offices in Danbury CT, Houston TX, Los Angeles, CA and London England. Our clients number among the largest and most well-respected financial institutions in the world.
